yotsuba koiwai started out as the chaotic little green haired protagonist of yotsuba&!, just casually discovering how the world works one random adventure at a time, but the internet basically gave her a second life. because "yotsuba channel" lined up with 4chan's japanese name, she got adopted as the site's unofficial official mascot, showing up on banners, ban screens, and especially 404 pages, earning her the nickname "404 girl."
